Muhammadiyah needs to be present in the midst of the 2024 political contestation to uphold political and democratic values. However, Muhammadiyah has nothing to do with the 2024 general election because Muhammadiyah is only a social organization (ormas), not a contestant. This was conveyed by the Chancellor of Muhammadiyah University of Jakarta (UMJ), Dr. Ma’mun Murod, M.Sc., in the National Seminar on the PTMA FISIP Dean Forum which was held at the Kasman Singodimedjo Hall of FISIP UMJ, Wednesday (21/06/2023).
